Piano Fingering Skills?
Welcome to the blackboard assignments for Piano Song 3. Because proper piano fingering is essential when playing this tune correctly, we’ll practice four different tutorials on this page.
In the first video below, you will begin practicing my song “Paciencia” at a slow and comfortable pace.
As you proceed, you’ll hear the beautiful sounds of an electric piano as the correct notes (numbers) are displayed on the screen.
All you need to do is play along with these numbers as they appear on your screen.
This first animated blackboard tutorial moves along at a mild pace of just 40% of the song’s natural speed, and therefore, it should be relatively easy and alot of fun to play… enjoy!
Piano Song 3 – “Paciencia” (40% Speed)
Okay, so here in this next video we’ll pick up the pace just slightly and play my song “Paciencia” at about half-speed.
This time, the notes (or numbers) will be shown on the blackboard just as before, and accompanied with the sound of an electric piano. The difference this time is that the slight increase in tempo will provide a greater challenge than with the previous exercise…
Piano Song 3 – “Paciencia” (55% Speed)
Alright, so now that your piano fingering skills are beginning to improve, let’s graduate over to this next blackboard video. Here we will again practice the song “Paciencia” at about 75% speed.
Now at this point you may begin to notice that your fingers are beginning to play the piano notes by memory. Therefore, you might not need to look at the numbers on the blackboard as much.. good luck!
Piano Song 3 – “Paciencia” (75% Speed)
Are you ready to handle the full speed version yet? Well this final blackboard session will be the completion of my original “10 Beginner Piano Lessons” series. This video will be your greatest challenge of them all.
Once you are able to play “Paciencia” at full speed (with maybe a few mistakes) then it would be safe to say that you have officially acquired the basic piano fingering skills needed to continue learning and studying piano on a more professional basis.. Good Luck!
